make it stop snowing! the snow yesterday caused a major power-outtage throughout the municipality of anchorage yesterday. the lights went out around 3:00 and didn't come back on until really really late last night. i feel sorry for my dad. he's lead supervisor for matanuska lighting and power so he worked a 24 hours shift yesterday because of the

Oye, I remember the winters when the power would knock out (just our cable) and we'd have to go outside into the yard and knock/shake the snow off the tree/get rid of the ice covering the wire by hitting it a few times. The good thing about early snowstorms is usually they don't really go for that long (or dissolve) into the later evening or melt. The rain will probably wash it away and hopefully not turn it into ice.

I remember you mentioning your dad worked with the power company; hopefully he can take it easy today; I also remember power going out while I was visiting; I can't recall where we were going, I think it was when we went to see Van Helsing and all the lights were out on a particular part of the city, but then back in Eagle River, everything was fine. And it was all over the news X.x;;

I've been to a few parties like that. I end up feeling more uncomfortable than anything else, so I've just stopped going. My idea of a party is to MAYBE get drunk and watch Monty Python or MST3K until all hours laughing like an idiot with my friends.
