A Vegan is someone who partakes of no animal products, right?
Humans are basically animals, right?

So if a vegan swallows, is he/she breaking that vegan rule?

but i'm sure there is a "magic" rule for an exception

you can probably get round it via informed consent and such, what with the animal in question having willingly submitted to, er, milking shall we say... unless they haven't, but that's a whole different ethical dilemma...

Yeah, that also allows for breastfeeding, consumption of manly exudants, and such.
