Okay, I will anyway!

It's actually hilarious, he should've been booted long ago, but Ryan's all "kfdkgjaslkdjglas I HAVE A CHARACTER FOR HIM I CAN TOTALLY WRITE THAT SHIT" (Wait, is that what you were referring to in the conversation about the Glee actors that I'm now flicking through? That Ryan bases his characters on his actors, as opposed to the other way around?)
I just love watching him work with the contestants, how he reacts to them, how HE works.
(My English teacher caught me doing the Ryan voice to my friend at lunch today. It was awkward... She also walked passed when I was trying to explain Autostraddle. Again, awkward.)

And yes, this was totally the inspiration! Ryan doesn't care about talent, he cares about person. The person who wins this will materially change the course of S3 because the character will be fundamentally different from any other possible actor's character. I don't think most writers work like that.
Part of me is...actually kind of sad Cameron is gone, actually. Not because he didn't deserve to go long ago, but Ryan was obviously so set and in love with the character he had in mind, and I kind of wish I could see it.
