So, I finally sent it and decided to share it here to see what you think about it. I didn't want it to be this long but also didn't want to leave anything out. I hope it turned out okay.
Yeah, I may be biased, but I think it's lovely. :)
I think it great that you were very specific about how her performance affected you. I mean, to get a genuine, emotional response from a viewer - I think she'll be very pleased about that. She's (obviously) not doing this to get any fame for fame's sake, and from her comments, the whole point is to move people.
Thanks, I'm glad to see people like it, :) I wasn't sure how it turned out, took me a loooong time to finish it. I'm still not completely satisfied with it, I mean, nothing can be good enough when it comes to Tabrett, simple words fail to do her justice. :)
I wanted to write something personal like that, knowing what she said in the InStyle interview. And that episode really had a great effect on me, others moved me as well but that was the high point of the season, at least for me, just brilliant acting from Tabrett.
I read your letter - first on the scrapbook page over at TabAppreciation and now here.
Can I just thank you? I think you managed to say all the things (and then some) that were really in my heart and that I wished I'd said. But the fact that I had 1 someone say them is enough for me. It kinda makes me teary-eyed right now (LOL - sorry!).
I am just so, so proud of your letter. I totally have to 2nd what Rhyfeddu & Beautifullauren said, here, because it seems I just suck at expressing my feelings in my own words and have to rely on others to speak them better. ;)
Thank you very much for the kind words, and for adding me as a friend. :)
I can't tell you how difficult it was to write this letter... I kept changing and changing it, and after reading what others said, I know some things were left out that should've been there, but like you, I'm glad others mentioned them. :) And it is a great feeling to see that others have been deeply affected by her too. :')
And yeah, I'm all for making the charity an annual thing! I won't be able to give much, but I'll do what I can.
No worries about what you are able to give or not. I wasn't able to give all that much (monitarily) this year, either. But we both gave in other ways, hmm?
But I just know that I would really like to see the charity drive done as a yearly thing, and I am totally willing to be one of the people helping out on seeing that happen, if I can. I just don't want to/can't do it alone. *insert giant chicken bawking noise here* ;p
