My thrusty gashapon store on the other side of the city offered me the WHOLE box of 12 Chozokei Damashii Rockman gashapon at 99€. Buying the whole box doesn't equal to getting the whole collection (11 pieces), but I'd have to be REALLY UNLUCKY not to get the figures I want (Zero, X, New-body Zero, Blues, Roll and at least one Bass).

The problem is exactly that... 99€ aren't a laughable price, but if you approach the thing logically, and make some math, 99€/12= a little more than 8€ per figure... and it's hard to find them any cheaper.
If I were to buy the whole box (which I've been wanting since it was announced) online I'd pay it 71€+shipping. And in my experience, usually the shipping cost from Japan equals the total of the order itself (i.e. I'd pay 71€ for the box, and a little less that 71€ for the shipping, equalling a grand total of more than 130€).
and if I were to wait and buy only the gashapons I want, I'd never find them for less than 10/11 + shipping.
...so it IS convenient, but I'm loathe to give up so much money...
...then again, I slaved myself wit work this year, so I should be able to buy myself a little something with no regrets...
...I'm 90% sure I'll accept the deal, though. ^^;;;;;

*nodsnods* Uh, uh. I noticed the trend with my last... four or five purchases. Whatever the total amount of my order was, the shipping more or less equalled it.
Some stores aren't like that (never, EVER buy from Mandarake. Like, EVER.). With doujinshi, it's a different story. whenever I buy from Coo, she has to add 1,500 Yen for the shipping, whatever I buy. That's the amount she's charged to send a package to Italy. But buying from ebay usually meas less shipping costs... but more pricy doujinshi (A doujinshi in Japan = 1 to 10€, same doujisnhi on ebay= 20 to 60€, etc. It's educately undercover thievery) :S

I'm terrible when it comes to deciding whether or not to splurge.
But one thing I've learned is that I'm more likely to regret not buying something. It sounds like that's a really good deal, and that you'd have a really high chance of getting some of the ones you want?
Go for it, if it's affordable. :)

Yep, I'm usually like that... I hardly ever regret buying something (I think I can safely say that, to this day, the only purchase I ever regretted was a pack of Tarots. not because they aren't beautifully illustrated... they are. But I was expecting something else entirely), but *not* buying... usually haunts me.
Besides, this is a REALLY good deal... and I think I can afford to indulges, this once.
So... I'm 90% sure I'll accept the offer. X3;;

I'd go for it. Think about what you will regret the more when the time passes, the money you spent on this or not getting the chance when you had it.

I know myself... I love gashapon and I hate the lack of good Rockman gashapon (in my collection, and in the industry in general), so I'm really, REALLY tempted....

They're worth it. They're just so, so worth it. The paint job and just the overall make of them is absolutely fantastic.That's what I thought too, watching the pictures available on the net. But a lot of people in forums and groups are bitchin about the paintjob and saying the gasha look horrible, etc. D
