The guests are (finally!) gone, the parties have been thrown, and the vows have been spoken. Kathryn and I are officially husband and wife -- well, from a grammar point of view, it should probably be wife and husband, but that sounds awkward

Well, give me some credit. After being a bridesmaid a few times in the scorching sun wearing some off-the-shoulder number for hours as the photographer repeatedly lied, "Just a few more now...", I've learned that the most important in the whole ritual is the head-to-toe application of waterproof sunblock, SPF 50, *including* the hair part. Ow.

And I blew off any photographer who claimed the sunblock would ruin my complexion for the pictures. That's what Photoshop is for, gosh dang it.

I give you lots of credit on this one! The entire wedding party ended up with some ammount of sunburn, despite the fact we all thought we covered ourselves with sunscreen. I spent the last week peeling anyway!

And I agree about photographers who say "just another minute!" Ours took a good hour of photos after everybody else left for the reception!
