Heh. It's been a while since anybody called me a git. And my advice for Yosemite right now is simple: wait. There's little to no water coming over the waterfalls right now, and the park is absolutely wonderful in the middle of winter -- if you don't mind that the higher stretches aren't available for trekking. If you want both the high stretches and the waterfalls, you really need to wait until May or so.
On second thought, this is a really bad weekend -- I have obligations pretty much all the way through Monday at this point. The week back from vacation can be hell. :-/
