Very cold here today - thick layer of frost and some nice freezing fog. Visibility down to about 100 yards.

But I needed to go for a run, so set off, complete with gloves, reflective bib and 2 buffs, 1 for my neck and one converted to a beanie hat.

It was bloody cold but enjoyable. I hadn't run that far for a couple of weeks. And the exercise does ( Read more... )

It was the same here - the walk up to the supermarket actually looked rather romantic.

They've forecast the same for tomorrow. If it is, I may venture forth with a camera. Perhaps you could do the same - I've never seen anyone with frozen hair....

Ooh, pictures would be lovely.

I have photographed the frozen hair - self portraits are always tricky and I don't know how to upload with this camera yet - but I shall have a go.

I don't do self-portraits, basically because I always come out looking like a red-faced (or washed-out, nothing in between) version of the Wicked Witch of The West ;-)

I occasionally get frozen eyelashes - little teeny balls of ice. Me hair is under my cycling helmet, or I guess I might get it there too.

it was a first for me - I think there may have been frozen eyelashes also as I kept getting odd wetness of the eyes.

when i had long hair it would freeze sometimes....mostly i just have problems with my contacts in the freezing weather.

yeah, they would start freezing up, so i had to keep putting drops in. i stopped wearing them in the freezing cold, put my glasses on those days.
