Actually, I'm quite good at imagining the Japanese voices while reading in English. ^^;;

really? Man, I envy you... sometimes, I'll picture that voice speaking in English, but after a bit, it'll somehow drift into me picturing the character with a generic stock dub voice... an early 2000's TV dub (I seem to do alright picturing timid boyish characters with the tone from their respective Japanese voice, but then again, that's kind of an extreme example of generic stock voice in itself). I especially hate how I picture the female characters... aside from picturing them with that awkward mid-sentence pausing a lot of anime dubs used to do, given a choice between two archetypes, I'd greatly prefer the high-pitched genki girl over the lower-pitched valley girl. Maybe this could be attributed to the fact that I haven't really been watching many dubs ever since that period in time ^^' (which is odd since some of the few dubs I have seen since then, like Bleach, don't seem particularly riddled with such problems
