Remember that
countdown for the Strike Witches announcement? Remember how we had high hopes that it would be announcing a new season? Remember how we were assuming it wouldn't be about the new game even though there was already news that info on the game would drop the same day the countdown ended? Well guess what? It was about the game.
A new version of the countdown was revealed on the official Strike Witches website yesterday. This new one made it so that it used your computer's calender as the basis for the countdown. Meaning that if you set your computer's date to the day of the countdown or later, the website would think that the date had passed & displayed the surprise announcement to you. & the news is that the title of the game has been revealed.
The fact that they changed how the counter worked is a bit suspicious though. Is it too much to hope that this is all an elaborate hoax created by Gonzo? But basically Gonzo is
turning into Kadokawa in how they pull a bait & switch with their marketing. Act like your promising something great & then
smash their hopes by announcing something far less significant! Brilliant! Kadokawa are still the kings at it, though.
