Keanu Reeves Officially Spike
Well it's now official. As has been expected for sometime now, Sunrise, 20th Century Fox, & 3 Arts Entertainment are teaming up to make an American live-action movie based on Cowboy Bebop," & Keanu Reeves will star as Spike Spiegel. The fact that Sunrise is involved in the making of this adaptation means that many of the creators of the original anime series will serve as producers, so that's definitely good news.
Word about the movie has already reached the shores of Japan, & fans of the series over there once again have a lot to say about us yankees turning one of their animated treasures into our live-action play things. You can read their various reactions to this bit of news here:
