Last week I said Toonami was
showing the Hellboy Animated movies to leech off the popularity of "Hellboy II" in theaters. Well now in another last minute change in schedule, they're going to air the Batman Beyond animated movie "Return of the Joker" to leech off the success of the massively popular "the Dark Knight" movie that debuted last week. Lord knows if they'll be showing the edited or unedited version of the movie, but sadly it'll probably be the edited version. "Return of the Joker" is a great movie regardless, but they changed so much in the edited version that it's not even funny, including the Joker's crucial death scene. But I'll be watching it at any rate, & you should do yourself a favor & watch it too.
Now Toonami was already going to start 2 hours earlier then usual this Saturday to show the
second Naruto movie, but now they're going to start an extra hour and a half earlier then that to the show the Batman Beyond movie. That means we'll be getting five & a half hours of Toonami this Saturday! Sure Cartoon Network
wont bother to extend Toonami's regular lineup by a measly half-hour, but here they are giving us the most hours of Toonami that we've gotten in years for one night. Here's this Saturday's complete lineup (times in Eastern/Pacific):
5.5PM: MOVIE - Batman Beyond: Return of the Joker
7.0PM: MOVIE - Naruto the Movie: Legend of the Stone of Gelel (PREMIERE)
9.0PM: Naruto (NEW)
9.5PM: Naruto (NEW)
10.0PM: Ben 10: Alien Force
10.5PM: Samurai Jack
