FUNimation Acquires Big Windup!
Last week, FUNimation announced that they acquired the baseball anime series "Ookiku Furikabutte," which will be dubbed under the American title "Big Windup!" It's actually quite a surprising license since, despite it's interesting plot for a sports anime, it's not really all that well-known or popular among fansub watchers. I mean if they really wanted to license a baseball anime, why not the much more well-known & long-running "Major" anime? But I'm not complaining, since as I said, OoFuri actually has a touching story behind it (despite being about baseball, it feels pretty shoujo-esque).
Anyway, the reason I only got around to mentioning this now is because why I did find out about the license last week, I only just discovered HOW they announced it. If you go to FUNimation's website, they actually have a baseball mini-game up on the site. & if you play through it & hit 5 home runs, they'll tell you what the license it.
