Trigun Movie Planned for 2009
The latest volume of the Trigun Maximum manga in Japan went on sale this week, & it was covered with a special promotional jacket that broke the news of a brand new Trigun animated movie set to come out in 2009. The film will come from Madhouse & feature an original story not seen in the anime or manga straight from the manga's author Yasuhiro Nightow. The jacket gives us a glimpse about what the plot will be about:
“Vash vs. Wolfwood?! The familiar characters erupt on screen in an all-original Trigun story!”
The script will be done by Nishimura Satoshi & character designs done by Yoshimatsu Takahiro, both who worked on the original anime series. The actual script will be done by Kobayashi Yasuko, who previously worked on Witchblade & Shakugan no Shana. News first arose of a Trigun movie way back in 2005, but their wasn't much to back it up back then other than hope. Now it seems like things are bit more official & I couldn't be more psyched.
