ADV Films Updates Release Schedule
Despite me naming it the first DVD of the Week, it seems the first volume of Gurren Lagann really isn't coming out this week after all. Or anytime soon, so it would appear. But ADV has announced that they've finally started releasing anime again after removing all traces of their newer series. Series like Kanon, NHK, & 5cm are finally back on schedule (well actually a bit behind schedule now, but you get it).
But two series that are noticeably absent from the list are Devil May Cry & Gurren Lagann. Now despite ADV not mentioning it, they've actually already released the first volume of Devil May Cry, so that's probably why it was left off the list. But Gurren Lagann's case is a bit more puzzling. The other two ADV titles that were due out this week, Pumpkin Scissors & Wallflower, turned out to get released on time. But no one seems to know what's going on with Gurren Lagann & ADV isn't saying anything. But at least some things are back to normal. Their current release schedule can be found below:
