"Zero no Tsukaima," aka, "The Familiar of Zero"
Our newest NebsTV starts tomorrow to fill the void left by Simoun, & it's "the Familiar of Zero" starring the lovely tsundere-voicing expert,
Rie Kugimiya. The series was originally licensed by Geneon about a year ago. But with
Geneon going under & the status of this series in limbo, it gives me another chance to show it.
"Zero" is often considered the sister series of "Shakugan no Shana," notably because the two lead characters are voiced by the two same seiyuu in both series. "Zero" is also a lot more light-hearted & more of a comedy series than Shana is. Oh, & there's fan-service too. Nothing that goes too far, but you do see Louise strip down a lot & wear a lot of sexy outfits (see-through lingerie in the first ep!). There have been 2 seasons so far & a third is in the works. So make sure to check it out from the beginning, starting tomorrow right here on NebsTV!
& while we're at it, a few other anime reminders to keep an eye on.
Bakugan: Battle Brawlers premiers tonight at 9pm (Eastern/Pacific) on Cartoon Network for a full hour, bringing us the first 2 episodes of this new shonen gaming anime. But for those of you looking more a more mature new anime out there, the highly popular & critically acclaimed anime "Black Lagoon"
premiers on Starz Edge Monday night/Tuesday morning at Midnight. Lagoon was also licensed by Geneon, but it seems they finished dubbing this series before they bowed out, despite only releasing a handful of them on DVD.
& finally,
Naruto: Ninja Destiny will be coming out for the Nintendo DS this Tuesday in the US. If you've been craving a 3D Naruto fighter for your DS, this is the answer you've been waiting for.
