Winter Anime Sneak Peak
The Fall anime season is in full swing, & the Winter season is right around the corner. Between December 2010 & February 2011 (mainly in January), over 20 new series will premiere, along with a bunch of new OVAs & a handful of movies. While sequel series are usually quite common, there really aren’t too many this season. Instead we are treated to tons of new material, such as anticipated titles like Haiyoru Nyaru-ani: Remember my Mr Lovecraft (about a Cthulhu deity who takes the form of a moe girl), Yumekui Merry (featuring cats & cute girls falling from the sky), Beelzebub (a new Shonen Jump anime), Mahou Shoujo Madoka Magica (an original magical girl loli series), Freezing (the latest buxom fighting girls series), Kore wa Zombie desu ka (zombies meet magical girls), Oniichan no Koto nanka Zenzen Suki Janain Dakara ne (Japan’s latest incest series about a loli obsessed with her older brother), & Wolverine (the latest Marvel anime after this season’s Iron Man).
It’s not all new stuff though, as new season of Kimi ni Todoke, Mitsudomoe, & Pretty Cure (Suite PreCure) are also planned. But considering all the new series, the number of sequel series pale in comparison.
For new movies, we of course got the annual new Bleach film. But along with that there’s also the anticipated new Soukyuu no Fafner movie. & for new OVAs, there’s Isshoni Training 026: Bathing with Hinako, Tamayura, Black Lagoon, Supernatural the Animation, Ah My Goddess, Angel Beats, Kodomo no Jikan, .hack//Quantum, Queen’s Blade, Gintama, MM, & even a new Kaitou Tenshi Twin Angels. Lots to look forward to, to be sure.
