Soulja Boy Releases Death Note Album

American rap artist Soulja Boy has a new album coming out on July 28, & it's entitled "Death Note." & if you think for a second that the title is just a coincidence, you are very mistaken. The album art alone, which you can see in the embedded video above, instantly attests that he was inspired by the famous Japanese manga & anime of the same name. This should come as no surprise, as the rapper has admitted to being an anime fan in the past.
More so than just the title though, at least one song in the album is inspired by a theme from the Death Note anime series. The above song, titled "Long Journey" (warning: NSFW lyrics), shares an uncanny resemblance to Near's theme music, which you can listen to below if you're not already familiar:
