Azunyan, Ritsu Get Beach Figures
Earlier just this month it was revealed that Mugi from K-On would be the first non-Yui/Mio character from the series to be getting her own figurine. Well now the final two girls, Ritsu & Azusa, have been officially announced to be getting their beach swimsuit figures as well.
The big news here of course is that the fan-favorite Azunyan is finally getting a collectible figure. & not just one, but two different versions for otaku to drool over. She comes in two flavors- regular swimsuit version & sunburned swimsuit version. Like all the swimsuit figures, she's somewhat customizable. Both have the option of adding nekomimi (cat ears) to her head, & they both come with two different facial expressions. They're both so moe & cute I just don't know which one to choose! I like them both for different reasons. So for the time being, I have both versions pre-ordered. Once I figure out which figure to go with I'll cancel the other one... probably. >_> Both versions go on sale May 2010 for 3990 yen (~$43).
As far as the Ritsu one goes, she has two different hair styles. One is with her signature hairband, & one without it & her hair down. Personally I think she looks much cuter with her hair down like that, but it also removes her one identifiable character trait, & without the hairband you can't even really tell who the character is. Despite being announced at the same time, Ritsu will go on sale a month after the two Azunyans in June 2010, again for 3990 yen. But now with them joining the mix, you can now finally have all five K-On girls in your collection:
