New Fafner Project Revealed
The official Japanese website for "Soukyuu no Fafner: Dead Aggressor" updated recently with some new news. Normally something like that may not be worth mentioning, but this is a website for an anime series that ended exactly five years ago at this time back in 2004. So when a site that old for a series that old updates, you take notice.
Specifically, a new flash intro on the page announced a brand new project to begin in 2010 called "Soukyuu no Fafner: Dead Aggressor: Heaven and Earth." There's no real news as to what this project will be. Most likely it's anime related, & will be something like an OVA or movie, or maybe even a new series. Or it could be something else altogether, like a video game or something. The only clue we have so far is that the musical group Angela will be coming out with a song for the project. Angela sang all the beautiful opening & ending themes for the original anime series & special.
The original television series was great, & is in my opinion one of the most overlooked & under-appreciated titles of the decade. It was one of my favorite NebsTV shows of 2005 when he showed it on the website. Geneon had licensed the title & released the series in full, but it has yet to be rescued by another company & is becoming a title that is quite hard to find.
