Eh, I didn't like Wash all that much during the series (I wanted to kill him during War Stories because he wouldn't shut up!) but I grew to like him alright later. He played a vital role in the ensemble balance and I think his death was pointless. But I ranted about that on my own blog. I'm so glad that I spoiled myself via Serenity movie comms way before I saw the movie because otherwise I would have cried! Even though I knew about the death, the first time I saw it, I was just :O for the next few moments that I missed what else happened. I'm annoyed that Joss killed him because his death served no story moving purpose. :O ( ... )
