I'm watching Harry Potter 4 because, hey, I'm on holiday, I'm pretty much required to chill and watch movies on HBO. Anyway, Doctor Who is in it, apparently. I don't remember him at all, so I'm not sure if he shows up again of if he's just a random throw-away evildoer ( Read more... )

What do you mean, some throw-away evildoer? IMDb says hes barty crouch jr!! INstrumental in the plot of #4, and shows up a lot more in the movie version than the book.

I watched harry potter 4 last night as well, albeit on mute because i was raiding in wow at the time. Still, the visuals were enjoyment enough.

Right you are. To be fair, he's played by a different actor for 90% of the film. And when I saw this for the first time, I had no idea who David Tennant was.

They did do a pretty good job with this one. I thought the first couple movies were pretty bad, but this one is alright. Although, I guess the visuals have been good for pretty much all of them.

Yeah, i finally decided I had to view the movies as a whole entity seperate from the books, in effect. The first two followed the books pretty well, but those were shorter books. I find that ive enjoyed these last two more because of what theyve done thats new and unique and artistically and naratively innovative in its own right.

Also, all the filmmakers *really* have to do is toss in a scene with dear Alan Rickman periodically throughout the movie and that will kite me through. ;)
