"He didn't know why they'd lied to him."
Exactly, neither do I. Mpf!
This has been bothering me all along, the way DPB likes to pretend in that episode that Tony is stupid and not, as pixie_on_acid has pointed out, a street-smart ex-cop *growl*. He is smart and can use his mind, Gibbs should not forget that *points her finger at Gibbs*. And actually I think it is out of character for Gibbs to just exclude Tony and to trust someone else so easily.
Oh, and giving someone else *Tony´s* head-slap, which was a total no-no for me and... ok, I´m rambling here ;). I just wanted to give a nice, as usual well-deserved feedback, because... perfect portrayal of Tony, again. And again with a topic that has been on my mind but was unable to bring it down on paper, not as perfect as you always manage.
Thanks :).

K is of the opinion that Gibbs didn't tell Tony after the fact because he didn't want anyone else to have to carry that burden. But why DPB wants us to believe that Tony's that stupid is beyond me.

I'm really glad you liked this one -- I always worry that the angsty stuff will just fall flat. Mostly because I prefer the happy.

*hugs*

Well, K cuts Gibbs a lot of slack... ;) but I completely understand why she does that and maybe I´m able to believe that, too... *thinks hard, gets an headache*. You know, it could be like Gibbs to try to keep Tony out of it... I definitely think Tony should confront him *puppy eyes*.
Don´t worry about the angsty stuff, it must be terribly hard to do but in my eyes you always manage to be perfectly convincing!
*hugs back and gives chocolate*

I agree with everyone but especially with webbgirl's That was so perfect that it hurt. and pixie_on_acid's Rule one of getting away with things: never try to sneak inconsistencies past an ex-cop. It only makes them curious and you really do get the idea that Tony is good at keeping important secrets.

I'd love to read more.
