ADMIN POST: Holiday Challenge
The "Travel" challenge is now CLOSED. Thanks very much to those of you who participated. You are now free to post your stories in other communities, archives, etc.

Your new challenge is: HOLIDAY
It's that time of year. A barrage of holidays are close upon us: Thanksgiving, Hanukkah, winter solstice, Christmas, Kwanzaa, New Year's... lots of opportunities for seasonal cheer, but also for the unhappiness that plagues many families at this time of year, and for the increase in crime and suicide rates. Plenty for our gang to take on, whether individually or as a team. And you're not limited to the winter holidays -- all of them are up for grabs. Valentine's Day, Arbor Day, Remembrance Day, you name it. Have your way with a holy day, a Hallmark holiday, or pick any weekday when the banks are closed. It's all up to you.

You have two weeks to post your responses. This challenge will close at midnight EST on Tuesday, November 20.
Remember, your contributions are to be posted only to this community for the duration of the challenge. For the convenience of your moderators, please don't forget to format your subject line [title], by [author].

HEADS UP: At the end of this challenge, we will commence our annual AMNESTY CHALLENGE which will run through the end of the current calendar year. During the Amnesty Challenge period, you may post a response to ANY of the previously posted challenges. Take a look in the community Memories and see what might inspire you. Dig through your WIP folder; is there anything you didn't finish in time? It's never too soon to start writing... or at least thinking about it.
ETA: For the Amnesty Challenge there will be an exemption to the normal exclusive posting rule. During the Amnesty Challenge period only, instead of waiting to repost until after the challenge has closed, you may repost your reponse one week from the date you posted it.
