That's good that your boss took it so well. I can sympathize with your paranoia about working with a lot of people, many whom aren't in your direct department or aren't immediate co-workers. I work in the most famous hospital in Michigan in the ER, not only do I work with tons of people I also deal with the public a whole lot, so I know your pain.
