Burke plays Mitch, a straight-shooting large animal veterinarian who prefers the simple company of animals to navigating the complexities of humans.

So kind of like Miles that decided to become a veterinarian instead of joining the Marines? And lets see how long he prefers the company of animals when they try and kill him and every other human on the planet Team Animals, to be honest, I'm sure they'd do a better job at running things.

The Messengers sounds interesting, but it's premiering on Fridays, so I feel like the network is basically writing it off.

I saw the original 'The Returned', I'm definitely curious to see the remake, hopefully they do end up making some changes so it's not a frame for frame copy of the French version.
