And you know what, I know it's wrong and twisted, but Rachel and Monroe have the kind of explosive chemistry that Rachel and Miles could never hope to have.
The writers obviously loved the theory of Riles (and in theory it could work), but they messed up on the delivery. (And made it fluffy)
Where as Bass-Rachel has just always been there...and it's ugly and it's desperate and it's charged and amazing and I miss it.
Actually I think that's the reason the whole Bass-Miles-Rachel OT3-triangle thing never works for me.
Because the problem is either Miles or Rachel.
Having both of them throws the dynamic into crazy-stupid territory where everyone gets hurt or acts OOC (from what we all took to be canon law - ie S1 characterisation).
If it's just Miloe - it's perfect. If it's just Bass and Rachel it's intense and it's broken and hard to look away. But when it's the three of them...I feel an intense need to chuck someone into a river (and usually that person is Rachel, but sometimes it's Miles...).
And that picture makes me wonder what kind of f**kery would go on if Miles and Charlie went missing - presumed dead, but actually trapped somewhere being awesome and

Why can't you be writing for this show? That all sounds awesome.
And just to be clear, everyone, I don't *ship* Bass and Rachel. I don't see how they could ever become involved like that. I'm just saying that there's this twisted, intense, charged, crazy chemistry between them. Miles and Rachel might make more sense, but I feel like it's forced because I don't see any chemistry between them, not the romantic kind, anyway.
I wonder how long poor Charlie has to wear that top before someone suggests she change it, or offers her something else to wear?
I do love that first pic tho - the way she's not looking him in the eye, but he's trying to make a connection...it's like reverse S1 Marlie.
The truth is people count on me, and they get hurt. Wanna know why? ...Because I hurt them. And I don't even think twice about it...
And they're standing so close together. The sadistic angst loving side of me wants him to try and hug her and for Charlie to shrink away. I kind of want him to hurt - and I guess it's due to how he's treated Charlie and Bass this season. Bass is finally getting through to him. So in my mind, it's Charlie's turn. With something along the lines of: Where the f**k have you been? I needed you. I didn't want to be this... I'm just so tired, Miles.
And someone please tell me that's not THE CART overturned in that picture with Rachel standing around. The cart's like a family member at this point. And what happened to the horses? ...maybe it'

I'd say they make it out of Austin, only for the cowboys COUGH I mean Texas Rangers to track them down, surround them and f**k up the cart... so then everyone's on foot running around like a high intensity game of chasey.
And the Mathesons go one way - and the Monroes go the other...and Miles ends up pinned down somewhere or in a ditch or something equally sad.
While Charlie ends up running into Tom.
And the Monroes have to circle back around to find them...because Monroes always come back for Mathesons.
At least he's there for the aftermath of the Charlie-Jason fight...
RIGHT! ...The things he could say...UGH I want it to be next next week already O_O ...I need Marlie.
