Public Service annoucement

Sep 27, 2008 09:14

I present to all of you, my fellow barge-mates that there is a dark truth about this barge. The Public Relations line states this vessel is one for us inmates to find Redemption because someone along with this enigmatic Admiral believes we are capable of such a change in our lives. However I have come to see the truth is there is no desire to ( Read more... )

...I believe your crimes have been explained to you before.

My crimes.. why are they crimes? I had the full backing of my Nation, they provided me with everything to conduct my research. If it was wrong, surely I would have been a criminal wouldn't I?

You ARE a criminal. If you look up "nazi" in any legitimate historical context, you won't find anything positive being said.

History, is written by the victors. Isn't that the way of life for hundreds of years? Victors throughout history have a certain way of villianizing their enemies, don't you think?

I was raised to become the person I am today, did you know my parents fed me blood as a baby? The point of this is, I am what I am and thus far no one has provided any other way of life they deem 'correct'.

So far all you people do is make self righteous comments without any further explanation or direction.

How stupid are you that you can't understand that threatening and harassing other Inmates, regardless of their gender, is not typically looked upon as good behavior?

Furthermore, you are not to speak to nor associate with my Inmate until further notice.

I could ask you the same. In my land I was raised to threaten others whom attempt to interfere in our plans. My nation did this much. The fact you others don't prove your weak, so I ask what other recourse do I have if that is all I know? No one is on this barge to provide any other guidance as to how to change, so I must go with what I was raised with.

I'd suggest you tell your inmate this, because it is he who interferes in my business, so long as he does so, he will have to content with me.

Wrong. Your guidelines are the ones your Warden gives you to follow, which you instead choose to ignore.

And no on another point: if you have a problem with my Inmate, you come to me and you let me handle it. If I find out there is any 'contending' between the two of you, there will be trouble. Do you understand me?

Yes, Rayne's guidelines. Thats laughable. Her guidelines are essentially obey me or die. Not much of a incentive or explanation on rehabilitation.

You both should know, I do not back down to threats, I rise to them. It is how my people were raised, it is who we are. Most of you wardens just continually prove you have no interest in rehabilitating anymore. You use your power to suppress and potentially kill anyone you feel in your rigid morally is evil. I content there is not a true hero amongst you, just villains operating under the pretense of being good.

As for your inmate, is that how people are suppose to act, run whining to the person responsible for them? It is a sign of weakness to not handle things yourself... but you have explained it to me without violence and I will try it your way...so long as things happen on the barge.

Understand however, if we end up crashing in anymore ports, and things end up outside the barge. I WILL handle these situations on my own.

If the only way out of this ship is death, you should just kill yourself.

Male, if it ever came to that, know I would take out as many of you fools as I could before I ended it. Hell, if It ever came to that, I would try to take out the entire barge.

You've already threatened me with that before, female. Is that your solution to everything?

nazi_butcheress September 27 2008, 16:15:14 UTC
Its a very effective solution, it is the one I was taught every day of my life. Remove the person, the problem goes away, and this can definatly be applied to a much larger scale.

You respected all the primitives you've slaughtered? Which I might add, is many more million then I've ever killed.

I have the right to kill for medical research, especially worthless lives, or so I firmly believed at the time. My enjoyment of this was a personal matter, and probably what made me so good at my job.

Rayne keeps me locked away, because it is easier to keep me locked up then to actually rehabilitate me. That is the truth of the matter.

This is close enough to my "Stanford Prison on an intergalactic scale" theory, that I could probably call plagiarism.

Too many flaws though, first of all, my Warden isn't a sadist, and he doesn't want to hurt me. Also, considering I know your IQ is fairly high, the idea that you are so lacking in self awareness that you can't understand what you're doing wrong is laughable.

I don't necessarily think that the aim of the Barge is rehabilitation, and I definitely don't think that it's a particularly effective method of it, but your theory is inherently flawed and honestly? Unscientific.

Seeing as I've never read your theory, its hardly plagiarism.

Say, have you ever read the work of Friedrich Nietzsche?
I was raised on those believes. Why is having power over the weak and pathetic so wrong? Its Survival of the fittest, nature itself is like that.

The barge as I've heard it exists to rehabilitate inmates, because suposively someone in your world along with this Admiral believe you can be redeemed. Or so the PR line goes. Also, I believe I said most wardens, I do believe there are two or three whom actually do their job and try to help their inmates and I commend them for that.

Ahh, but I posted my theory publicly here a few weeks ago! So it COULD be plagiarism!

And I am familiar with the work of Nietzsche. Are you familiar with his life? The man was insane, he spent the last twenty years of his life in an asylum with the mental age of a child. You're wrong about Nature as well, Einstein said "It is not survival of the fittest, nor of the most intelligent, but of the most adaptable to change." It's not the power in and of itself that is wrong, it's what you use it for.

I don't believe that anyone in my world who would have cared even knew that I needed redemption. But I can name at least five good Wardens off the top of my head, and I really don't know that many.
