[Reid's communicator comes on abruptly. It appears to have been knocked over or dropped, as it's broadcasting at an odd angle on the floor. There is a snarling and stomping about, although all the communicator seems to pick up is the feet and slacks of everyone's favorite eidetic profiler.

I know you were with West for that last port. How was it for you? Maybe we could talk about that, since it sounds like it was pretty bad at points. Are you alright?

I, uh, know I've been sort of quiet lately. I'm sorry about that. With all the floods that keep happening, I've been feeling out of it. I'll try to be around more, really.

That was....unexpected and different. Is everyone alright? I mean, I know everything is back to normal now, but...

So, uh, I was thinking that after what's just happened, now might be a good time to do that Chess tournament I mentioned awhile ago. Maybe we could even come up with a prize or something this time. I think we all could use something fun to do.

This turn of events has certainly been... interesting. I always find it surprising how people react to the floods and, uh, I don't think I would have predicted half the reactions I've been seeing. It's interesting, as I said.

I'm just glad I wasn't affected.

I'm really happy that there's such an interest in another chess tournament. I think with all the things that we've been through lately, it's good to have a more relaxing way to get to know one another.
