ditto. if you're not happy, it's time for a change. one of the big factors for my decision to stop going to Mt. Holyoke, even though it was a great school, was that it cost so much money and I knew our family, while able to do it, it was a stretch. If you are not completely happy at a school that costs that much to attend, get the f* outta there and make the money count for something.
my tuition at LWTC is like $1500 a quarter, but I'm so happy with everything there. I expect that the $25k for Cornish to be completely worth it, and if I'm not 110% happy there, I'm out. You shouldn't sacrifice for your education. You and I both know learning is fun.. if the rest of it is ruining it, it isn't worth it.
And I mean, I'm trying to persuade you to come to UBC, but I mean... UBC has an AMAZING travel abroad program, Kasandra went to Spain for the summer and she's majoring in Psychology. There's no question of "can I really go abroad".
You'd for sure be able to become an RA, you're more than qualified. They'd definately take your 5 on the AP exam.
And it'd be cheaper, even for you, than Linnfield, by like a lot. It's just a tiny bit more than in state prices would be, and UBC is very nice to international students in terms of scholarships.
I'm just saying all this because I know you'd be happier here at UBC, that doesn't mean you must come here, but I mean... if my school can offer you all this, then there is ABSOLUTELY got to be better schools out there for you.
Hence the ultimatum from last year. Even though the education program here is spectacular, and I have a bunch of new friends and great connections with professors and staff. But if this doesn't work out, it's totally not worth it being here, and I get that.
