For those of you who read my LJ post about 'my perfect man' some of you seem to think that I was trying to put past boyfriends down, and that wasn't the case

I dont know you heaps well, Nay, but the way I read that post was really positively. You are thinking about what you want and need in a man. That is a good thing, no matter who your exes are or whether your relationship experiences have been postive, negative or neutral or a mixture. I did the same thing when I was single, and thought of all the good things and all the things I would try to avoid in the future. It shows that you respect yourself and want the best for yourself. It is a healthy learning process and shows you are moving forward. Friends only is good - I have been too trusting in the past on LJ and have been burnt. People are going to think whatever they want anyway. Those who are your true friends will stick by you no matter what. Who cares about what other non-friend people think. You can only decide what is best for you.
Yeah, that post was more self reflection then anything else. I thought it was positive, and I wrote it as if to say 'my life is getting better! I can move on and learn from it'
No, actually, I do think you have a problem with me. You straight out told me that my post was degrading to Stoffi, when really it had nothing to do with him.
I really don't think you have a clue about me, I think that you have been basing all your opinions about me though what other people have said. I know that we don't get to see each other much anymore, but that still doesn't make what you say and do right.
I think you need to back off a little bit, and think about what you know about me, and give me the benefit of a doubt a little more often.
I don't know why you're always so hostile towards me, but you are.
And I think that you've been talking about me behind my back already, and I think that you'll probably continue to do so, so what's the point of saying you haven't?
actually i have something further to add. something offending people doesn't make it bad. if i write songs about being unhappy, am i uninsulting them because they're not enough to fill my life and make me happy? no, i'm saying i'm unhappy.
going further than that, if i write a post happy after church going 'hooray praise the lord our one true god' is that going to offend people of another religion? maybe, if they're fucking stupid but nevertheless we have opposing viewpoints, so that's inevitable. fact is, offending people is part of life if you speak your mind.
but the most important thing i'm going to say is something that should be SO FUCKING OBVIOUS that i feel a little embarassed to say it. these people are ex-boyfriends. ex-boyfriends. EX-BOYFRIENDS. by definition, you don't want them. you don't love them. they haven't been enough in some way. so, even if you were going out of your way to make some sort of points that your exes didn't make the cut, shouldn't it already be obvious that you feel that way? they're
( ... )
Bah, fuck anyone who takes it the wrong way. You should be able to write a post about your ideal man without it being referred back to something that ended over half a year ago. Anyone who thinks differently is taking far too much interest in something that really has nothing to do with them and I find that disturbing. Relationships end and that's a hard thing to deal with, no one else needs to stick their nose in where its not wanted
