i couldn't agree more!

one day of "halmark" happiness does not make a relaiontship if the rest of the time its shyte

although getting little surprises now and then is nice, but i'd rather get them unannouced than waiting for valentines day

does this all make sense?

lets hope not :P

I think it's a total sham! I treat Jenn great all year round, I don't need a special day to show I love her. Girls buy into this just as bad, they expect Valentine's Day to be super special...

Exactly.

And when you make someone feel special all the time, how are you mean to top that?

Girls shouldn't expect anything from their men except love and support. Anything else, like flowers or dinner should just be a bonus.

I think in a lot of ways it's bullshit. But a lot of ways it's also pretty darn good. :) It's like Mothers Day or Fathers Day. Your parents know you love them, but it's nice to have just one day of the year especially set aside to make them feel a bit special.

While, yes, you should make your partner feel special every day of the year, it's nice to have a day especially set aside for it so those who like to make a fuss can make a fuss.

But everyone knows it's an entirely optional holiday. If it's your bag baby, go for it. If not, then that's cool too. :)

Then there's the single chicks out there like me who hate Valentines Day for all it's worth. Then totally LOVE it as soon as they receive a mother fucking huge bunch of flowers at work.

..From their Mum.

Winnah!

Awww...that's so sweet!!

You wouldn't of been expecting anything, so that would of been such a nice surprise!!

How many girlfriends expect flowers on Valentines Day, and are disappointed?

No disappointment this way!
