I don't know why, but I'm seriously debating if I want a paid account or not. D: I'd love some of the nice features, but how much of it would I use? I suppose $25 a year isn't that bad, but that $25 could be used for something I'd need more or use more ( Read more... )

I always just go for the two-month plan at a time whenever I go for a paid account. I think the main reason I do it is just so I can get the ability to edit comments... :x

Or at least that's the reason I paid again last time, haha. Otherwise I would've just left my account as it was.

I don't know -- I'd like to not worry about paying for awhile, especially if something happens, I want my paid account, but I don't have the money for it that month or whatever. :/

And it'd be worth paying anything for comment editing, even if I don't comment much. :(

Maybe buy a month of paid time or something and see how you like it. :O I dunno if you can switch back to Basic after going to Plus anymore since they phased off the Basic account... oo;

I always buy my paid time at Christmas because I get the free icons add-on. XD

It'd have to be two -- you can only pay monthly if you do auto-payments, which I wouldn't do, regardless if I wanted it for a long time.

Although I suppose two months would be perfect right now. I really can't afford the full $25 (I have it, but I shouldn't use it), and by the time it'd expire, the parents will have given me money, and the books would (hopefully) be paid for, and I'd know if it'd be worth more or if Basic would do.

From what I understand from the FAQs, I can revert back, since I have a basic account now. ._. Although I'm not 100% sure. I could test on my alternate account if I was really desperate, since it's also basic, but I'm not that worried. I really don't like ads.

Honestly, I would not pay for it. Buy webhosting and put up a real blog if your going to spend that much.

A blog isn't necessarily like LJ, though. I wouldn't even know where to get started to setting up my own blog, and even then, I don't know if people would bother looking at my blog compared to my LJ. It's a shame, because I'm sure I'd get a lot more bang for my buck if I had my own hosting, but it's how it goes sometimes.

I don't know if I will or not. Like I said, I've survived on basic for awhile. There's no real need to. It's a want. A want I probably won't get for awhile, as money is tight for me.

A blog is completely different to LJ. I know I wouldn't like it, since here on LJ all the fandoms are here and it's easier to connect with people.
