Have you tried Specimen Days?

Not yet. Looks like it was released in 2006, around the time I was out of school and fell out of reading. I will add it to my queue. But I'm excited for a story about Whitman. o/

Michael is heavily involved/one of the . . . big names? stones? of my writing program, so we read Specimen Days for class and had him talk about it. It's kind of fantastic. It spans a few different genres too, so you get a nice mix up that way.

I love his writing style :( I envy it greatly.

Oh man, you've met Michael? I'm so jealous. He came to a friend's library a few months ago. If I weren't so deathly afraid of Philly driving, I would have gone there to see him. I do love when he does his different generations thing, one of the things I adored about The Hours.

It's so beautiful.

I recently watched "A Home at the End of the World" and "The Hours." I like how his film adaptations are so true to the books, truly a visual feast.
