I can't believe I still don't have a moon icon.

Two nights ago, on our way to eat Mexican food, the moon was especially beautiful. The most compelling part of its appearance? The oddity.

It was a deep shade of orange, and it looked to be a squashy, egg-shape. Interesting, so a picture had to be taken:

That's beautiful and scary at the same time.

wow! What a color! That's something you see in late fall. It's gorgeous!

But it's not late fall, right? These cold temps tell me otherwise. ;-) The strangest part to me was the shape - I've seen moons on either side of "full" before, but they're usually curved inward on one of the sides... not at the top.

Yes, I think it's strange too - I guess my complete thought didn't make it through my fingers. It is an odd time for a color like that. But that's why it's extra cool to me. I noticed the moon the other day wasn't quite a normal looking shape but I didn't pay it much attention. That means standing too close to the window which is COLD!! :)

I saw the same moon at my house on my way to work that night! That is so amazing that we live so far away but see the same things in the sky.

Gotta love Astronomy :)
