Been a little over a week since waiving MFF a fond farewell. Its been an odd one, for sure. Worked two days, the first of which was okay for the most part, the second of which sucked. So the car situation is mostly solved. Friday of last week I pick up the Grand Prix and was immediately happy with the results. For $100 less than quoted, not only was my lower intake manifold gasket replaced (EVERY port was blown out,) but the PCV valve, oil, thermostat/gasket were changed. Ok, really? I want mechanics who know what the fuck they're doing. I'm no mechanic and I KNOW 3800 GM engines have lower intake manifold gasket problems, and MUCH more often than head gaskets. And also, don't tell me to replace my MAF sensor. I've DONE that. THREE FUCKING TIMES. Figure out what is CAUSING them to die out, and then get back to me! ( Read more... )
