You are a strong, talented, and good person. I went to the U of U for a couple of years. Needless to say I heard all the BYU jokes. All that aside, it is a very respected university. Seriously, do what you need to to get your diploma from there.

Nava, I'm terribly sorry to hear this has happened. An obstacle like this has got to be one of the last things you need right now. Please stay on track though. From knowing you and talking to you, I know it would be a shame for you not to keep chasing your dreams. From what you've told me, BYU seems like the very best place for that. If the meantime seems bleak, concentrate on your future, because I promise you your future successes will far outshine any BS you have to go through now. It seems like Grandma has lost her understanding of the reason you need to live with her. Stand up for yourself. I know it's tough, but if you can just stick it out and compromise, and hold your *own* ground whenever you can, things WILL get better. Feel free to talk anytime. We're here for you.
