Today, my Dad brought a parcel for me from the letter box, and I danced with happiness. I ripped it open and there it was: Gerard Genettes "Paratexts". I opened it at once and skimmed over the content, busily noting important facts for my master's thesis, smiling and thinking "What a great book!"

So... What's wrong with me? It's a book about book covers, tables of contents, prefaces, author interviews and afterwords! Totally dull! And totally fascinating... *sigh*

Wtf. Although my first thought was to read it tonight I sure as hell won't take it to bed.

Still. I'm a bit confused. And a bit reassured. Perhaps teaching and researching at university is the job for me after all?

Dzzz.
