It seems ironic that after so many laps, so many days of burning lungs, so many exhilarating victories and crushing defeats, after so many practices where i thought i would die, the thing that actually kills me giving it up. Good Job. You made the right decision. I gave up basketball last year, and i really don't regret it. For a little while after it was a bit of a pain, trying to explain to people that it just wasn't for me and whatnot. But looking back i think it was the right thing to do. I think the whole basketball environment is the problem, its too little about enjoyment and too much about sacrifice. Why go through all that when you don't have to?

Have you considered taking up tennis? The clothes are much better and the practices are actually enjoyable. Don't worry doll :)
