If you are allergic to coconut oil, you can try jojoba oil. I've never tried it, but Dan Kern of acne.org highly recommends it. He says it moisturizes without clogging pores.
These days I buy unscented lotions and mix them with EOs (just shake really well and in different directions for 5 minutes) for my favourite scents (neroli and jasmine). I never expected it to help with anything. I discovered that orange oil can be an irritant.
I've added perfume oil (from BPAL, so it's mostly essential oils) to unscented hand lotion. One 1/32oz sample of perfume to 3oz of lotion was a little strong for my taste.
How I did it was I put some lotion into a ziplock bag, poured the oil in, and sealed it up tight and squished it all around to mix it up. To use it I cut off the corner of the bag and squeezed it into a travel bottle.
I'm not sure if this is the sort of information you want, but it's what I have.
