 1) I'm currently taking Todoral occasionally as an anti-inflammatory and for pain relief for TMJ disorder. I always take the Todoral with a meal and a full class of water but it still causes a few minutes of stomach pain. I'm also taking tylonel for the same reason. Obviously this isn't a long term solution but I'm waiting for a consultation at ( Read more... )

The gallbladder is actually a storage pouch for the bile, and any affect on your liver functioning will likely be very, very minimal.

Yeah, it'll be fine. However it's always good when you're taking medications to make it easy for your body to deal with, which basically just means never take medicines on an empty stomach (unless it says to of course) and try to keep your water intake up.

I recommend craniosacral therapy to anyone who's having TMJ issues.

Me too! I see an osteopath trained in craniosacrial techniques and it helps immensely. I usually manage my tmj with a combination of osteo and a well-fitted nightguard (both of which are pretty non-invasive and natural) but a had a bad fall recently and it seems to have knocked my alignment out of place in a way my dentist can't seem to fix. So he's sending me to a tmj specialist.

Dandelion and nettles are both excellent liver support herbs.

I remember someone telling me that if you take NSAIDS with milk, it won't upset your stomach as much.

As for the TMJ, try to find a massage therapist that is skilled in Neuromuscular therapy. One of my massage instructors was from the St. John school and that module was one of my favorites b.c. my jaw never felt better. Good news is that it can be used in conjunction with the craniosacral. Regular neck massage will also help as many of the muscles that work the jaw carry through to the neck.
