you can shave pieces of your bar soap and store in a leak-free container with some water.

The only liquid soap I like is Indigo Wild's. It comes in a pump too which I find pretty convenient.

black soap is awesome. It leaves my skin feeling great and not too stripped.

http://www.afrikanrepublic.com/pd_duduosun_liquid.cfm#main I have not used this brand as right now I am working my way through bar soap, but its a starting spot.

why can't you put your bar soap in a zip lock? that's been my solution in the past.

the handmade stuff gets to squishy if not allowed to properly dry

I used to take handmade bar soap to the gym with me. I carried it in a soap box that was significantly larger than the soap for some airflow, and I would set the soap out unwrapped in a bathroom cabinet for a few weeks to get it extra hard before I started taking that bar to the gym.

I'm really surprised that no one has suggested Dr. Bronner's yet. They have a lot of different products. They have their regular castile soap in different scents, and they have other personal care products like shaving cream, shampoo and conditioner, etc.
