An old chair I wanna fix up in an eco friendly way

Reduce/Reuse/Recycle:
Fixing Vintage Furniture rather than buying new is better for the environment, but only if you fix it up using ecofriendly means, so I need some help.

It needs to be totally refinished, in the meantime you could oil the wood so it matches better.

That's what I was afraid of...totally refinishing it. But, I will eventually. For now, I will just tie the springs and reweb the bottom. I think I've figured out how to do that part :).

It does look like it needs to be completely refinished. You could look around for other LJ communities about furniture, DIY, etc, and you'd probably get some better suggestions there.

Oh thanks! I found a couple comms but didn't think to try searching for wood working.

I'm definetly going to refinish it when i go to reupholster it, but for now the fabric is alright, so I think when I move to a new place I'll do it to match some other pieces I'm doing to coordinate with each other :).
