Sample Con Harassment Policy

So, there's been, understandably, a lot of talk about con harassment policies lately, and in the run up to the 2012 Discworld Convention we suddenly realised that while we had one in the minds of the committee, we didn't have it written down, so really, like any unwritten policy, it didn't exist. Sounds good to me. The recording will show up patterns & a harassee shouldn't feel that deciding to report is the same as deciding to ban someone.

You don't seem to need it, but the Geek Feminism wiki also has a lot of resources for developing and enforcing conference anti-harassment policies.

Thank you. Aye, to a certain extent we're re-invented the wheel again ourselves and I've read quite a bit of the stuff at that wiki, definitely a resource to remember.

I like this, it's to the point.

Suggestions... Perhaps a line to include harassment by committee or other representatives of the con. Also, if it's meant to be boilerplate, perhaps "Chair" instead of "Chairman" would be better.
