Today I had another crisis... well lately I have crisis everyday. The crisis was not because Michael but I was trying to explain to him how I feel, so I wrote in English and googled it to see if those words makes sense or not. I always do it when I am not sure how to write something, there are a lot of Spanish phrases which mean nothing when you ( Read more... )

Hmmm...it's good you found that, and that it fits you. Can make you understand yourself a bit better. I was unaware of it until you mentioned it, but it says "20% of the human population" has it. You just process things a bit deeper and more internally than others, and no harm in that.

Self awareness and an explanation for "why" is a good thing.

the problem with this trait is that in some environmental situations, HSP people can develop other traits: anxiety, obsession, depression, psychosis. It has more disadvantages and I can relate to all of them :(

I don't doubt that it's a complete pain in the ass at all, but it means you may understand yourself better. Even if you can't "fix" things, it's nice ot know why something makes you tick the way you do (to me, at least.)

I don't know what to advise you here, you are a fire sign and I am the opposite - the water, so I am phlegmatic, cold type which barely gets fury but often sad with something or somebody's behavior... I don't know how you feel, I have a glimpse cause my father, mother and brother are all the fire signs but for me they are acting just like crazy persons without any meaning... and always I was trying to stop somebody of them from doing something I had nothing but clear opposition and fights to be blamed with everything after... so when it starts I just escape from them for the world peace. :)

I don't think it has to do with zodiac signal.
"This personality trait is the result of the interaction between genetics and environment. The right hemisphere of the HSP person is more active. Within it, the frontal area and the amygdala are in a state of alert higher than the average. The nervous system is very refined and reacts to the minimum stimulus.
The sensitivity to temperature, textures and noise is much higher. They also tolerate worse the pain, alcohol, and need lower doses of most medications.

They are excellent receiving antennas, but have the risk of saturation easily. They absorb all sensory information from the environment and can not always drain it or unblock it.

This situation can degenerate into anxious and depressive processes and diseases of the immune system"

Then yes, it is certainly not about my family members cause they are not sensitive, could drink a lot, could block any info at any time...

I am a highly sensitive person, too... there's some interesting stuff to read about it out there. I think lots of sensitive people make great artists, writers, musicians, actors and the like because they (we) feel so intensely. *hugs* xxx
