I have to get a new garage door because, first, it didn't open all the way, then it wouldn't open at all, thereby holding caorann's car hostage all day. The handyman found all sorts of things wrong with it (springs, the door itself, the frame, etc.) until it made sense to just get a new one. That will be installed tomorrow.

...The exploding manhole is VERY common in NYC, though more likely in the summer, when electrical converters overheat. For some reason, they usually happen in midtown (around the 50's), rather than in downtown, where the equipment is significantly older, and blackouts occur with frequency during the summer months. Maybe the manholes hate the rich...?

...You are COMPLETELY right about THE HUMAN TARGET. A total "popcorn" tv show, a mindless guilty pleasure, the only reason to watch it is because you had a bad day and need something that doesn't allow too much thought...
