Well we have the frankenstein computer back. And it works great. It even came with a free pair of speakers that I took to work and am now listening to. Here's an interesting thing about them. They get their power from a USB port, but they plug into the regular audio jack. I guess it would be a problem if you had very few USB ports, but I got 6 ( Read more... )

Our computer should be fixed by now. Kim will be picking it up today. It turns out the problem was the power supply. Recently I added a better video card and another hard drive. These added devices overtaxed the power supply and it died. But our case won't fit a more powerful power supply. So our computer will look like Frankenstein's ( Read more... )

The following was forwarded to me with a dozen or so headers. I've cleaned it up and put it behind a cut.

It's a method of forcing oil companies to reduce their prices. I don't know if it's feasible. I wouldn't be surprised if the oil market's complexities make the strategy powerless. But it's the next best thing to actually using less fuel.

I find it difficult to understand why someone would want to look and smell different than their natural appearance and odor. It does make some sense to accent a natural characteristic. But more often than not makeup and perfume are used to cover or conceal. It appears gross and disgusting to me.

And yes, this is about my coworkers.
