for people to "misinterpret" then you must hold yr own views about what is "right". once something is let out into the open domain, there's no saying what is "right" anymore, but whether yr preferred form of communication will do yr emotions justice in the conclusion.

I say things and people misinterpret because they think they know everything about everything. They think they know about consciousness and feelings and what all of that means because they saw it on MTV true life : I have feelings, or they read it in a "teenfuck" magazine.
