I know besides being a musician she's also an artist--has anyone seen any of her work?

Just curious is there any news so far of a new album by Natalie Merchant? I know she brought out a hits collection but I wonder if that means she is getting ready for a new album.

My favorite song from her is probably Frozen Charlotte because that song is so gorgeous. Ophelia and Not In This Life are close runner ups though.

I just got into Merchant's music only a little while ago but I really loved her from the beginning. I picked up her Motherland album first and that is the album that made me a huge fan because I just loved the way she put those songs together on that album. Then I bought Ophelia by how many praised that album and it is a classicly gorgeous album ( Read more... )

I'd been a sort of Natalie fan while I was in high school but only in the last couple of years I have become to really love her.

I bought Tigerlily over the summer...my favorite song on the album is Beloved Wife (which I'd heard long before I bought the CD). What (or who) was Natalie's inspiration for this song?
