Oh, wow - I really need to go visit you some day, your place looks absolutely lovely. :)
You have your own production of olive oil! Even if it's not too many litres, it must still feel wonderful to have those pretty little bottles of precious oil to use in salad dressing, pestos, tapenade, etc. I always buy different types and brands of olive oil for different things - it's wonderful how varied the taste can be.
Your harvest photos have such a warm feeling to them.
For the moment, we gathered 60 kg of olives and got 10 l out of them because our trees are young and not producing much. But when they enter full production, we'll have a problem! There are 150 of them... I hope that I'll be able to ship oil internationally when we get more of it :)
Hope things are getting better somehow on your side.
Hehehehe! The olive-picking, how I don't miss it ;D we don't have many plants, the last couple years they didn't have enough olive to make it worth collecting ;P
The sketches are lovely! Especially the first one - I really really really like it.
And I am totally, totally in favor of 11:00 myself... ;D
I'm not fed up with olive picking yet, as it was the first year our trees were old enough to bear more than a handful. But there are 150 of them and when they all produce, I fear the picking time! We'll have to invite still more family and friends, I think :)
And thank you! I'm glad you liked the sketches.
As for 11:00, how could we wake up earlier and still check the f-list during the American hours?
Thanks a lot! I'd really love to practice everyday, but I don't have the time or the dedication to do so. And sadly, all my sketches don't turn out nice! I hope the sketching comm will make me draw more.

You might not be able to grow olive trees, but there are a lot of things that seem to grow around your place that we'd never dream of planting here.
The flowers are a bit smaller than daffodils and they're white, but they look definitely related.

I hope we'll get more oil next year so that we can ship internationally :)
